How We Grow

Great Christmas trees aren't grown overnight. It takes years of careful planning, cultivation, and hands-on care to produce the premium trees that carry the Kriss Kringle name. Follow the journey below to see how our trees progress from seedling to holiday tradition.

Land Preparation

Every great Christmas tree starts with the right foundation. Before planting begins, we carefully prepare the land by clearing unwanted vegetation, improving soil conditions, and ensuring proper drainage to create the ideal growing environment. This attention to detail helps young trees establish strong root systems and thrive for years to come.

Planting

Planting is one of the most important stages in the life of a Christmas tree. Carefully selected seedlings are planted at precise spacing to allow for healthy growth, proper airflow, and future shaping. Each tree is given the best possible start to ensure it develops into a full, healthy, and attractive Christmas tree.

Maintenance

Growing a premium Christmas tree takes patience and ongoing care. Throughout the growing cycle, our team monitors tree health, controls weeds, manages pests when necessary, and performs shaping and pruning to encourage the classic Christmas tree form customers expect. This hands-on approach continues year after year as the trees mature.

Grading

Not every tree grows exactly the same, which is why grading is an important part of the process. As trees reach harvest maturity, they are carefully inspected and sorted based on height, shape, density, colour, and overall quality. This ensures our customers receive trees that consistently meet industry standards and expectations.

Cutting

When the harvest season arrives, each tree is carefully selected and cut at the ideal time to maximize freshness. Our team follows proven harvesting practices to preserve tree quality and maintain the vibrant appearance that families look for during the holiday season.

Baling

After cutting, trees are professionally baled to protect their branches and make handling easier. The baling process compresses the tree into a manageable shape, helping prevent damage during transportation while maintaining its overall form and appearance.

Loading & Shipping

The final step is preparing trees for delivery to retailers and customers across the region. Trees are carefully loaded, secured, and transported using efficient shipping practices designed to maintain freshness from our farm to their final destination. Our goal is to ensure every tree arrives in excellent condition and ready to become part of a family's holiday tradition.
